Kilcar, Co. Donegal

Duration: 45 Mins

First established over 30 years ago in an exposed coastal location overlooking Donegal Bay. The garden falls away from the house in a series of hidden terraces with an extensive range of plants, many unusual species suited to the coastal location.  Imaginative use of grasses, rich exotic planting and high quality stone-work all feature. Big pots and containers planted with specimen plants are especially good. A particularly fine example of how a difficult site can be transformed. The garden was featured in the Jan/Feb 2018 edition of The Irish Garden magazine.

Saturday and Sunday 17th and 18th July (12-6pm) or by appointment

On the Wild Atlantic Way. From Killybegs take the R263 direction Slieve League for 6.4Km The garden is on the right just before the Blue Haven Hotel; look for an old stone wall and purple leafed trees.
